ACCREDITATION
The NPA laboratory is CLIA-certified and accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the gold standard for excellence in the laboratory industry. The laboratory technical staff are Florida-licensed and meet or exceed the standards required by the various accrediting agencies.
NPA pathologists are licensed in the state of Florida and multiple other states. All are board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology and undergo periodic recertification by the American Board of Pathology. Many have sub-specialty board certifications and/or specialized training in breast or GI pathology, GU, Head & Neck, Cytopathology.
History
Established in 1988, Naples Pathology Associates (NPA) has been proudly serving the Collier County community with a wide variety of pathology services. NPA was initially founded by four dedicated and meticulous pathologists who prided themselves in the quality of their work and built a strong reputation of service within the community.
Over the past 3+ decades NPA has broadened its range of offerings and its influence while continuing to uphold its reputation for quality and service, now as the sole provider of pathology services for two of the largest hospital systems in the Collier County area. In addition to its hospital services, the group provides diagnostic services to a continuously growing number of private practices both in-state and out-of-state and provides charitable work within the Naples community. It also provides laboratory directorship for numerous physicians and groups who operate and/or wish to structure their own in-house laboratories. Naples Pathology clients choose NPA over larger corporate-owned labs because of the personalized services offered, including tailored reporting styles and customizable reflexive testing, personal interaction with pathologists available 24/7 via text or cell phone, and outstanding turn-around-times.
Naples Pathology Associates is comprised of pathologists with diverse subspecialty experience including board certifications and subspecialty training in Dermatopathology, Cytopathology, Hematopathology, Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine, Breast, GI/Liver, Genitourinary, and Head & Neck Pathology. What sets NPA apart from nearly all other laboratories in the state of Florida is that it remains completely physician owned and operated, granting the pathologists the flexibility to cater to each individual provider’s needs. We are determined to keep the dialogue open between pathologist and provider, so as to function as a comprehensive patient-centered medical team.
