HISTORY

Naples Pathology Associates, NPA, was formed in 1988 as a private practice of four pathologists providing Naples Community Hospital and started in 1994. Since then, we are a privately owned group of 11 pathologists. All of our pathologists are board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, and most have sub-specialty board certification and/or additional sub-specialty training in Dermatopathology, Breast pathology, Gastrointestinal/Liver pathology, Genitourinary pathology, Head & Neck Pathology, General pathology, plus Cytopathology, Hematopathology, and Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine.

We provide medical directorship and pathology services to the two main hospital groups in Collier County, FL. We also provide laboratory directorship services for numerous physicians, groups, and laboratories throughout the state. We pride ourselves in providing personalized services tailored to our clients’ specific needs and preferences.

ACCREDITATION

The NPA laboratory is CLIA-certified and accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the gold standard for excellence in the laboratory industry. The laboratory technical staff are Florida-licensed and meet or exceed the standards required by the various accrediting agencies.

NPA pathologists are licensed in the state of Florida and multiple other states. All are board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology and undergo periodic recertification by the American Board of Pathology. Many have sub-specialty board certifications and/or specialized training in breast or GI pathology, GU, Head & Neck, Cytopathology.
