Dr. Huang received her medical degree (MBBS) and completed an anatomic pathology residency at Fujian Medical University in Fujian, P. R. China before coming to the United States. After teaching and research, she completed an anatomic and clinical pathology residency at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, NE where she served as chief resident in her final year and received the Hal G. Lankford Pathology Resident Award. Subsequently, Dr. Huang completed a fellowship in Gastrointestinal/Liver and Transplant Pathology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), Omaha, NE.

Dr. Huang is a diplomate of the American Board of Pathology in anatomic and clinical pathology. In addition to her subspecialty training in GI pathology, Dr. Huang has expertise in molecular genetics and molecular cytogenetics. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and has given many academic presentations at national pathology conferences.

Dr. Huang enjoys cooking and gardening. Her hobbies include Zumba dancing, jogging, biking, swimming, and snorkeling. She also loves traveling with her husband and two sons.
